Everyone loves food, right? It is a basic need that fuels us daily…and it’s a great way to connect with friends and family. I mean, who doesn’t love to share a great meal with the people they love?
But what if there was a way to make food even more fantastic? What if, while you were planning a great meal to share with friends, or planning an evening out with the family you could also support CityLink? Well, guess what? There is a way…actually there are 2!
CityLink is a registered organization for the Kroger Community Rewards Program. Right now, when you shop at Kroger, a percentage of your total purchase can be directed to CityLink. All you have to do is stop by your local Kroger, head to the Customer Service Counter and tell them you would like to be a part of the Kroger Community Rewards Program. Then select CityLink as your reward organization (Community Rewards #82979). It’s that simple! Grocery shopping won’t seem like such a chore when you know that you are supporting eradicating poverty in our great city!
Don’t love cooking at home? Well, you are in luck. This fall we are partnering with local restaurants around the city to raise funds and awareness for CityLink. We are currently in the process of identifying restaurants who are interested in featuring CityLink for a day, evening, or even a week and willing to donate a percentage of sales to our mission. There are a couple of ways to get involved. Watch the site for restaurants featuring CityLink…then go there. Tell your friends, family, neighbors, anybody who will listen to go too. Then chow down! If you are an owner of a local establishment (or know someone who is) and are interested in participating in this event, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
So, there you have it. Great options for taking a bite out of poverty, shop at Kroger or visit some great local restaurants. It’s a win-win!
